The son of legendary New York DJ SNS is doing more than honoring his father’s name, he’s making sure he’s carrying his family’s legacy in his own music as well.
After breaking out onto the scene with his massive hit, “Yellow Diamonds,” years back, SNS is continuing his takeover, most recently dropping off the visual for his Joey Vutton-produced track, “Bread Up (Dougie).”
The visual for the track, which appears on his recent mixtape Luv Me Now B4 They All Luv Me, opens up with an iconic scene from Paid In Full, with the lyrics later in the song also doubling as an ode to the now-classic flick, such as with the standout bar, “Shorty wanna do me watchin’ Paid In Full / Probably cause she know we young and paid in full.”
Elsewhere during the Benji Filmz-directed video, SNS can be seen using an old-school cell phone as a prop, further adding to the retro vibe of the song, all while partying alongside friends and rocking a white bathrobe and sunglasses.
“I remember when we had them packs out / Now I hit the stage in front of packed house,” the Harlem rapper rhymes during the song’s chorus. “Shorty wanna do me in this trap house / Feel like Killa Cam when I blow her back out / Imma hit the Dougie with my leg up.”
