These ain’t red bottoms. Cardi B has traded in the Christian Louboutin “bloody shoes” that she rhymes about so famously in “Bodak Yellow” for a pair of “pussy poppin’ Pink” high-heeled boots.

This years’s breakout hip-hop superstar had her campaign for Steve Madden shoes unleashed this week on social media. The commercials feature Cardi modeling a slew of different pairs of Steve Madden footwear in different outfits to accentuate different vibes. There’s a business side, a daytime look and a sexy, rich look. Cardi tells the viewers they too can look rich without spending a fortune. And that’s exactly what the appeal was of her going with Steve Madden, according to Irv Gotti.

The legendary music mogul, who is a longtime friend of Steve Madden, helped broker the deal for Cardi.

“Cardi B and Steve Madden makes the perfect sense,” Gotti told REVOLT TV. “Cardi is the hottest artist. She’s loved. But people can’t afford those ‘bloody’ shoes. They can’t afford them. So Cardi is making a shoe with Steve Madden for her fan base that can’t afford red bottoms, we’re gonna give them a shoe they can afford. It’s gonna be dope and it’s gonna be hot. It made perfect sense.”

Louboutins can cost several hundred dollars on the low end, and several thousand on the high end. While Madden’s “Curated By Cardi” collection is considerably lower. The “Foxy” is going for around $230, the “Wifey” is around $150, and those “pussy poppin Pink” “Mimi” high heel boots are just under $130.
