JAY-Z’s 4:44 has had one of the best rollouts for a rap album in recent memory, with a series of provocative visuals and ‘Footnotes” videos to accompany the songs. After dropping the videos for “The Story of OJ,” “4:44,” “BAM,” “Kill Jay-Z,” “Moonlight,” “Adnis,” and “MaNYfaCedGod” between June and August, it appeared that he didn’t have any other videos in the can.

But Hov has blessed fans with a trio of new videos on Black Friday. Visuals for “Legacy,” “Marcy Me” and “Smile” all arrived on Tidal at once on Friday evening, and all continue the winning streak of stunning, thought-provoking visuals from the previous releases.

JAY-Z drops “Moonlight” music video

The video for “Legacy” allows viewers to finally see the star-studded project teased by photos of actors Jesse Williams, Ron Pearlman, Emile Hirsch, and more. All of them portray inmates in a stirring scene inside of a prison.

“Smile” poignantly illustrates the highs and lows of JAY-Z’s mother, with Gloria Carter herself appearing at the end of the video to read the poem that she orated on the song. “Marcy Me” gives a look into an inner-city neighborhood under surveillance by a police-helmed helicopter.

The three new videos continue a busy past couple months for JAY-Z. He’s he’s written a piece for New York Times about how the U.S. justice system unfairly punished Meek Mill and other black males, and he’s been on the road for his 4:44 Tour. He performs in his home grounds of Brooklyn on Sunday, Nov. 26.
