Still no release date on Eminem’s new album Revival yet, but Eminem used his appearance on SNL to perform his single “Walk On Water” and remind his fans why they love him.

Eminem’s performance of “Walk On Water” began similarly to his performance at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 12. With Skylar Grey playing the piano and singing the chorus she wrote for Beyoncé, Eminem gripped the microphone and delivered his somber, vulnerable rhymes.

After Eminem’s closing cry of “bitch, I wrote Stan,” he and Grey launched into a medley of some of Em’s other hit songs. Backed by a full band, Grey sang the chorus of Eminem’s classic song “Stan” while Em rapped as a deranged fan who took his love for Em’s music too far. The duo then performed Eminem’s collaboration with Rihanna, “Love The Way You Lie.”

No telling yet on if Eminem will have an additional performance on SNL like other musical guests. Stay tuned for further updates.

The rest of the episode of SNL has included Chance the Rapper appearing in several skits as a neighborhood kid upset with Batman’s overaggressive crimefighting tactics, a secret child of Steve Harvey appearing on Family Feud, and a singer mourning over Barack Obama’s exit from the Oval Office.
