Drake 'Take Care' removed from Spotify?

  /  11.16.2017

UPDATE: After being temporary unavailable, Drake’s Take Care is finally back on Spotify.

Original Story: Whether or not Drake has plans of one day putting out a sequel to Take Care, his beloved 2011 album, remains up in the air. However, one thing for sure is that there is no denying the sheer magnitude behind Aubrey Graham’s arguable classic. It dodged the proverbial sophomore jinx, provided the platform for The Weeknd’s proper breakout, and crystalized his position in rap. For argument’s sake, it’s bulletproof. But that’s for a different piece. This week, on the six-year anniversary of the album’s release, Drizzy himself took to Instagram to reflect on the opus and did so by unveiling the early draft tracklist.

The vintage photo, albeit blurry, shows that the first six songs appear in the exact order on the final version of the album. Missing songs appear to be “Make Me Proud,” “Buried Alive (Interlude),” “The Real Her,” “HYFR,” and “The Motto.” In place of those said records are “Hate Sleeping Alone,” “You Beat,” and a few unreadable titles. But before you think about updating your playlist, Spotify users will notice something quite peculiar.

While Tidal and Apple Music fans are in luck, Spotify users are left in the dust this week as Take Care is currently unavailable on the platform. It’s unclear why, but as of this writing the only available songs on Spotify are “Marvin’s Room,” “Headlines,” and “Make Me Proud.” In response to the discovery, fans took to Twitter seeking answers.

In response to the madness, Spotify mentioned that while album is still available in select countries, the streaming platform is working on getting the album back to the masses.
