Days after celebrating his birthday, French Montana kept the party going, happily taking to the stage at the 2017 MTV EMAs.
It was only fitting, given the momentous occasion, that the 33-year-old perform the biggest hit of his career to date, bringing out Swae Lee for a high-energy rendition of “Unforgettable.”
For the live performance of their massive summer anthem, the two impeccably-dressed performers were joined by a crew of backup dancers, delivering a near-perfect run-through of the beloved track, complete with occasional bursts of fire from the stage.
The performance flawlessly then transitioned to make way for Travis Scott, with the 25-year-old rapper making an impressive entrance while standing atop his now-signature giant hawk. While performing from the animatronic bird, one that he first debuted during Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. tour, La Flame ran through his hit single, “Butterfly Effect.” Although he wasn’t up for any awards, his appearance doubled as his EMAs debut.
Later on in the evening, French appeared on stage for a second time, with the Jungle Rules rapper joining David Guetta and Charli XCX for a performance of “Dirty Sexy Money,” their recent powerhouse collaboration alongside Afrojack.
Needless to say, performance-wise, the 2017 MTV EMAs certainly did not disappoint. Take a look at the full list of winner’s from this year’s awards
