It was just over a week ago that Apple Music unveiled the trailer for its Danny Brown documentary, teasing a November 7 release date. But that day came and went without anything to show for it and, naturally, fans began to ask questions.
Brown took to Twitter yesterday (November 8) to give them answers that provided clarity but no reason. Overall, it was bad news for Brown fans.
In a series of responses, the rapper explained that the documentary was “not coming out” and that Apple “pretty much” shelved it. He admitted he was “crying right now because of it” and “really hurt about the whole situation,” before “deeply apologiz[ing]” to his followers.
The trailer, filled with shots of the MC performing for a packed house, behind-the-scenes moments of intimacy, and fan testimonials, can still be seen here for now.
