Redman has been known to give competing MCs nightmares. Who could forget the macabre album covers for Whut? Thee Album, Muddy Waters, and Dare Iz a Darkside? So kudos to the raw hip hop-loving VH1 executive who booked the man born Reggie Noble for his latest gig: “Master of Scaremony” on the network’s new show Scared Famous.
“[Scared Famous] had a balance of me not being a full host [for] the whole show,” Redman explained while sitting in the REVOLT TV’s New York office. “This show is not all about me with reality stars. The show is about me and my scare team trying to scare the shit out these reality stars.”
The stars in question include Love & Hip Hop‘s Safaree, Miss Nikki Baby, Erica Mena, and Yung Joc; America’s Next Top Model‘s Eva Marcille and Don Benjamin; Black Ink Crew‘s Sky; Mob Wives‘ Drita D’Avanzo; RuPaul’s Drag Race Alaska; and Tiffany “New York” Pollard. The handpicked cast will all live together, and compete against one another, in a haunted house outside of Savannah, Ga.

“The rules are so tricky and funny, sometimes everyday when I was coming to the set and I was finding out who got eliminated, I was like, ‘Are you serious?’” Red said. “You’re gonna see the antics of them trying to get along and then stabbing each other in the back.”
The sole survivor wins a $100,000 donation for a charity of their choosing.
As for Redman, he’s not going to make winning or losing pleasurable for anyone. “At the end of the day, my job is to make them shit a chicken,” he said. “And I want all these reality stars to shit a chicken.”
‘Scared Famous’ airs every Monday at 9pm ET on VH1.
