LeBron James becomes youngest NBA player to score 29,000 points

Friday night (Nov. 3) LeBron James gave basketball fans everywhere plenty of reasons to cheer, becoming the youngest player in the history of the league to score over 29,000 points.

Kobe Bryant previously held the record at 33 years, 199 days, with James hitting the lifetime milestone at 32 years, 308 days old.

Not only that, but James and his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, also walked away with a W, beating the Washington Wizards 130-122.

In addition to becoming the seventh player in the NBA to ever hit that significant career number, James also logged his 800th consecutive game scoring double-digit points, right behind Michael Jordan’s 866 games.

The other players who have scored over 29,000 career points are Dirk Nowitzki, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
