Without question, Cardi B is having one of the most memorable years of her life, with an ever-growing list of reasons why she’s winning over the hearts of many. From impressively breaking records on the charts to celebrating an epic proposal from her man, Offset, her glow-up is nearly impossible to ignore.

In addition to achieving massive milestones both in her personal and professional life, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper has also made time to reflect on her blessings, explaining how she recently came to the realization she wants to set a “better example” for her younger fans.

“I realized, after Halloween, a lot of little girls, they be looking up to me,” the Bronx emcee shared on Instagram. “They love me and I’m thinking to myself, like, ‘Yo, I really need to be a better example.’”

However, as she admits, the company she keeps occasionally distracts her from her goal of being a better role model to the kids looking up to her.

“But I be trying to be a better example, though, you know what I’m saying?” Bardi continues. “I’ve been trying to be more PG-13, less rated R. But I be hanging out with my hood rat friends and then they f—k me up all over again.”

Although Cardi B may be a bit too hard on herself about her money-making, larger-than-life personality sometimes getting her in trouble, it’s great to see that she’s working on being more mindful of her actions and the impact they may have on her impressionable audience.
