Music Video Roundup: Miguel, Lil Kim, Young M.A
Post-apocalyptic dance parties and more.
Miguel, “Told You So”
Following “Sky Walker,” “Shockandawe,” and “Now,” Miguel shared the funky “Told You So” while announcing the release date for his upcoming LP, War & Leisure. In the track’s accompanying visual, Miguel dances in the desert, trying to galvanize his fellow roadtrippers, as footage of political and social scenes are spliced between: military tanks, protests, American flags, Martin Luther King, Donald Trump, and more.
Lil Kim, “Took Us A Break”
The Queen Bee’s newly-released buzz track has gotten the visual treatment! Kim opens the clip in her signature Hard Core-era stance before dancing among her crew, flashing stacks of money, and enjoying her selection of strippers. Elsewhere, snake- and spider-charming women sit on rotating platforms offering bursts of red color to the black-and-white video.
Young M.A, “Walk”
In her first video since the release of her HERstory EP, Young M.A paces a studio smoking, snacking, counting stacks, and spitting verses.
