Apple Music debuts trailer for 'Danny Brown: Live at the Majestic'

  /  11.01.2017

Aside from fixing his chipped tooth and cutting his hair, Danny Brown has had a relatively quiet year after dropping the stunning Atrocity Exhibition in 2016. But his fans will see a lot more of him in Andrew Cohn’s new concert documentary, Danny Brown: Live at the Majestic.

The film will see the indie rap sensation reflect on his long road to success that began on the streets of Detroit, Mich. Set for a wide release on November 7, Apple Music has released the trailer online.

“You had to be a certain type of way to come out of Detroit and be a rapper,” Brown can be heard saying in the clip. Filled with shots of the MC performing for a packed house, behind-the-scenes moments of intimacy, and fan testimonials, Cohn’s film will trace Brown’s early days, unique persona, leading to his performance at his hometown venue The Majestic.

Known previously for his lopsided haircut and his infectious chipped-tooth smile, that accompanied a raw and aggressive rapping style, Brown is afforded the ability to speak his truth. “I was just saying stuff that I thought other people would like,” he says. “I wasn’t being Danny Brown.”
