Ever since February 2016, Fabolous and Jadakiss have been teasing fans with the promise of a collaborative album, titled Freddy Vs. Jason. After releasing a string of appetizers in the form of freestyles (“Wicked,” “All the Way Up”) and loose singles, the New York-bred tandem have been mum on the status of the project. In an interview with Angie Martinez this week, the pair shared a much-needed update on the long-awaited release.

According to Fab, fans could expect Freddy Vs. Jason on Black Friday. “Album is definitely coming,” he asserted, also noting that the Big Apple titans are “looking at Black Friday.” Now it’s unclear if the November 24 date is set in stone, seeing as how the pair appeared coy about the details, but it is the first update given about the project in months. “I don’t even know if I was supposed to say that,” Fab shared. “We tired of getting trolled online.” It’s also worth noting that the title of the project has since been referred to as Friday On Elm Street on social media.

So whether it arrives on Black Friday or pushed to next Halloween, Fab and Jada’s collaborative project will continue to draw attention. Their latest collaboration, “Stand Up,” is available now.
