Report: JAY-Z responds to logo lawsuit against Roc Nation from earlier this summer
The music mogul says he should be removed from the suit.
Earlier this summer, news broke that JAY-Z was on the receiving end of a lawsuit, due to Roc Nation putting its logo on some Major League Baseball apparel.
Recently, Hov reportedly responded to the suit, which was filed by Iconix Brand Group (who controls the rights to all merchandise with the logo), explaining that the company hasn’t been able to prove he was personally involved.
As reported, JAY-Z wants to be removed from the lawsuit, clarifying that Roc Nation and himself personally are two different entities, as well as asserting that he wasn’t involved with the situation that led to the lawsuit in the first place.
According to previous reports, Iconix is suing JAY-Z, MLB, Roc Nation, New Era, Lids and the San Francisco Giants for $10 million each, for using the Roc Nation logo without approval.
