Report: XXXTentacion inks deal with Capitol Music Group

  /  10.20.2017

Capitol Music Group has signed Florida rapper XXXTentacion to a deal that is reportedly worth $6 million, according to Billboard.

The 19-year-old rapper, who spawned a meteoric rise earlier this year with the breakout single “Look At Me,” released his debut album, 17 back in August and saw it peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The deal with Capitol is through the label’s indie distributor Caroline.

Aside from the new deal, Tentacion has legal issues to consider, including a charge of domestic abuse by strangulation, false imprisonment, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and witness-tampering. His trial starts December 11. If convicted, he faces 30 years in prison if found guilty.

XXXTentacion will be performing at Bay Area’s Rolling Loud music festival October 21-22 which REVOLT TV will be exclusively live streaming here. The stream will take place from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. PT. Viewers can expect to see performances, behind-the-scenes exclusives, as well as interviews with hip-hop luminaries.
