Its been eight months since Chance the Rapper made history at the Grammy Awards for winning not one, but three trophies for the 2016 mixtape Coloring Book. The Chicago rapper won the Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance awards at the February ceremony, but he has finally received them in the mail.
Unveiling the prized moment for all to see, Chano shared an adorable father-daughter moment as his two-year-old daughter Kensli helped unbox the gramophones. “I got my Grammys in the mail,” Chance tweeted. “Thank you everyone who made this music with me, especially this girl right here.”
Of the three, the Best Rap Album award will be heading to Chicago’s DuSable Museum of African American History. Back in June, Chano announced that he would be donating the award to the institution. “I’ll be donating my Hip-Hop Album of the Year Award, the first one to a black independent artist, to the DuSable,” he revealed over the summer.
