When it comes to the ongoing protest movement bubbling in the NFL and finding a possible solution, Master P is on the same wavelength as Sean “Diddy” Combs.

During a recent interview, the veteran New Orleans rapper offered to help Colin Kaepernick start his own football league, explaining that “without ownership, you have no control.”

Combs—who has also vocalized his support of the NFL players who are participating in the #TakeAKnee protest sparked by the former 49ers player against social injustice and racial inequality last year—recently explained that it is his new dream to start his own league, with Master P now echoing a similar sentiment and suggesting that such an idea would make a lot of sense to be Kaepernick’s next move.

“I’ll help him start his own league,” Master P said, during an interview with TMZ. ” I think he should, I mean he’s a great football player. I think the NFL should have some competition. Maybe that’s what I might do next – start the football next.”

For those unfamiliar, Master P began his own basketball league earlier this year, with the organization marking the first professional basketball league to promote unified play between men and women.

Elsewhere during the interview, Master P also mentioned that if Kaepernick is looking for a way to stay in shape, he’d be honored to have him join his Global Mixed Gender Basketball league.

Perhaps Master P is the missing ingredient to help Combs’ dream of starting a “league where you can be yourself” come true. After all, he’s already dipped his toes into taking such ownership and is looking for a way to help support Kaepernick…
