Beyoncé celebrates International Day of the Girl with new video

  /  10.12.2017

Hours after Beyoncé celebrated the 15th year anniversary of “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” her first collaboration with her now-husband, JAY-Z, the singer showed love to her fans for International Day of the Girl.

The mother of two released a new video starring an international group of young girls dancing along and lip-syncing to her 2016 song, “Freedom.”

The short-but-empowering video, which was produced by Beyoncé and Salma Hayek’s Chime for Change initiative and the Global Goals, shares a handful of eye-opening statistics, including the fact that around the world, 130 million young girls are not in school and 71% of human trafficking victims are female.

Take a look at Beyoncé’s new video below, and please visit The Global Goals’ #FreedomForGirls page to get involved with a handful of organizations dedicated to aiding young girls here.
