While Kendrick Lamar is gearing up to begin the European leg of the Humble tour, the Compton rapper has lent his talents to fellow Californian and past collaborator, YG Hootie, with the two coming together on a new track, aptly titled “The City.”

The song, which was produced by DJ FU (of Mike WiLL’s EarDrummers), marks the pair’s first collaboration in four years, following 2013’s “Two Presidents.”

As the two trade verses over a synth-laden instrumental, both rappers follow a clear theme of showing love to their hometown and getting the same love back in return.

The cover art for the Compton anthem features a childhood photo of former President George W. Bush, with YG Hootie explaining to Complex, “Compton gets a lot of bad press which shapes the perception of our city, but most never know George Bush and his family once resided here. They even went as far to suppress the fact, but you gotta give it up for the city.”
