The BET Hip-Hop Awards is an annual star-studded affair celebrating what is now officially the most popular genre of music, and arguably, the lone wolf when it comes to rap-focused award shows.
As those tuning in can attest, this year’s event is proving to be one of the most memorable to date, especially for fans of Cardi B, who was among the top nominees this year racking up an impressive nine nominations alongside host DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar.
Performers for the evening include Gucci Mane, Migos, Rick Ross, Trina, T-Pain and Cardi B, among others. Rapper Luther Campbell, better known as Uncle Luke, is the recipient of the 2017 I Am Hip-Hop Honoree legacy award and is slated to perform a melody of some of his biggest career hits.
The annual BET Hip-Hop Awards show kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on the BET Network and is also available online and via the BET Now app. The official hashtag for the evening is #HipHopAwards.
