J. Cole, LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick praise Eminem's fiery BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle

Eminem ripped into President Donald Trump with quite the ferocious yet politically charged freestyle at the BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night (October 10). Packing his bars with deft rhyme schemes that tackle the social and political climate of the country, rap’s E.F. Hutton and his four-minute deluge had everyone listening.

The applause came in droves, including from athletes like Colin Kaepernick and LeBron James. Kaepernick was among the first to take notice, hopping on Twitter to tell Eminem: “I appreciate you.” The former NFL quarterback was referenced in the freestyle, as Em rapped “This is for Colin/ Ball up a fist/ And keep that shit balled like Donald the bitch.”

NBA superstar LeBron James, who has also been vocal of Trump, also joined in praise, tweeting his favorite lyric from the rap.

Other celebrities include J. Cole, Ellen Degeneres, and writer Keith Olbermann, who admitted that he is now an Eminem fan.
