Last month, Cardi B—accompanied by “Bodak Yellow”—became the first female rapper in nearly 20 years to go to No.1 without any other featured credited artist.

Lauryn Hill had held the title since 1998 when “Doo-Wop (That Thing)” shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Now, however, Cardi B has bested the Grammy Award-winning rapper-singer as “Bodak Yellow” has spent three weeks at No.1; Hill sat in the top spot for only two.

Considering the news, there’s only one question left to ask:

Is Cardi B the hottest MC in New York City?

Following her achievement, Cardi detailed her upcoming album, promised fans a freestyle, and shared a snippet of a new song.
