Following reports that Nelly has been arrested on an alleged rape charge, the rapper’s lawyer has since come forward with an official statement addressing the matter.
“Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation,” the rapper’s attorney shared in a statement. “Our initial investigation clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges.”
One fan has since shared a now-viral clip of Nelly following his performance in Washington last night (Oct. 6), with the fan noting that the performer was “creepy” when interacting with a young fan on stage.

According to a new report from TMZ, Nelly has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman.
As reported, the alleged victim came forward to law enforcement early Saturday morning (Oct. 7), claiming she was raped on the rapper’s tour bus at around 3:45AM in Washington, where the rapper was scheduled to perform the next day.
According to reports, the alleged victim specifically identified the rapper, who is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line, as her attacker.
Per TMZ, Nelly was reportedly charged with second-degree rape and appears to still be in police custody at the time of this report.
