Between starring in one of HBO‘s new buzzing shows and unleashing a new Wu-Tang album, Method Man had lots to talk about during his most recent visit to The Breakfast Club.

HBO’s new series The Deuce finds Method Man working alongside esteemed film stars such as James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Named after a notorious New York City street near Times Square, it premiered last month to rave reviews, and touches on the story of how the porn industry became legalized in the early 1970s.

“It’s hard to do music and do movies or television at the same time,” said the hip hop legend and acclaimed actor. He admitted that though he has found success in film and television, he couldn’t take full advantage of acting opportunities, due to his other career. “You have to focus on whatever craft you are trying to excel in,” said Meth. “So I wasn’t actually taking acting that serious. I still had a rap career I had to maintain.”

After almost 25 years of relevance, the Wu-Tang Clan has proven that Wu-Tang is really forever. Their most recent effort, Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues drops on this month and features Method Man trading bars with core group members RZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and ODB, as well as legends like Redman and Sean Price. “Hopefully, it’ll re-establish our griminess,” stated Meth as he spoke on the album that Charlamagne tha God said displayed a “rejuvenated Wu-Tang Clan.”
