It’s been an amazing year for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. After Forbes named the mogul as one of their 100 greatest business minds, it has now been revealed that he ranks at the top of this year’s list of highest paid hip-hop artists.

Diddy, who credits his attention to detail and great customer service skills to how he became a successful businessman at 12 years old, told Forbes earlier this month, “I’ve always understood that if I give the customers my best and service them differently, whether music, clothing or vodka, I’ll get a return on my hard work.” He now applies that same thought processes to his multiple businesses, including Cîroc vodka, Aquahydrate water and DeLéon tequila.

According to Forbes, to make their list of highest-paid acts, they add up pretax income from touring, record sales, streaming, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other business ventures. They do not deduct fees for managers, agents, lawyers etc.

Between June 2016 and June 2017, Sean Combs brought in $130 million this year, making him the world’s top-earning hip-hop act, according to the publication’s findings. The highly acclaimed Bad Boy Reunion Tour played a major part in this year’s earnings, as well as his partnership with Cîroc and selling off 1/3 of his Sean John clothing line for an estimated $70 million less than a year ago.,

Also on the list are Drake, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Macklemore, Pitbull, JAY-Z and Lil Yachty. You can check out the entire list on Forbes.com.
