We don’t usually know 50 Cent for his political affiliations, but the rap star and film/TV producer told The Breakfast Club that he turned down money from President Donald Trump.

“They tried to get me to come out while he was running. They offered $500,000 for me to show up,” he said. “Don King went. … That’s bad money.”

50 appears to be referring to an event in December, where the boxing promoter and longtime friend of Trump joined him on stage shortly after he won the election.

The president has been labeled as a white supremacist because of his limp criticism of the neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, policies like his attempts at a Muslim ban, and previous incidents like a housing discrimination lawsuit against him in the 1970s. 50 agrees with the assertions made by Jemele Hill, Tanehisi Coates and others.

“I think so,” 50 nonchalantly replied when Charlamagne asked if he thought Trump was a white supremacist. “I think when you got Nazi supremacist people out there, and you say, ‘they’re good people,’ that’s just a racial statement. Just to say that.”

“It’s already there though,” he continued. “A lot of the time, that stuff is from the upbringing, it’s not from today’s period. It’s a shame that it’s like that.”

For the rest of his Breakfast Club interview, 50 talks about his new BET variety show 50 Central, the success of his show Power, and more.
