Fast-rising singer-songwriter Tangina Stone has officially set her own bar high, with her first studio album Elevate debuting in the top 30 R&B/Soul albums on iTunes.

The project, which includes an impressive collaboration with veteran singer Nelly Furtado, was two years in the making, further showcasing how the Brooklyn-based artist genuinely poured her heart and soul into making the best art (and strongest introduction) possible.

Elevate, which saw a release earlier this year in Japan, helping Stone expand her fanbase overseas, was made available everywhere in the U.S. and Canada on Sept. 22 through IMG Records.

In addition to the project marking Stone’s first solo album, Elevate also doubles as the first release on the Black, female-owned and operated indie music label, with the imprint’s founder, Anastasia Wright, executive producing the project.

With their visions in tandem, Stone, Wright and IMG Records are making significant strides to help shape the future of music, with Elevate a fitting, heartfelt and timely soundtrack. The album, which also features collaborations from Crystal Caines, Kenneth Whalum, Eddie Vanz and Liana Banks, touches on deeply personal subjects, including anxiety, mental health and loss, with Stone’s stunning voice captivating new ears every day.
