As Questlove has proved countless times in the past, through both his music and his other endeavors, his creativity knows no bounds.

Much to the delight of fans, the Roots co-founder has announced that he’ll be dropping a new book, titled “Creative Quest,” which is slated for a release next year, on April 24, and is available for pre-order here.

Per the book’s publishing company, Ecco, Questlove’s latest book is a “guide to living your best life.”

“In Creative Quest, Questlove synthesizes all the creative philosophies, lessons, and stories he’s heard from the many creators and collaborators in his life, and reflects on his own experience, to advise readers and fans on how to consider creativity and where to find it,” the synopsis reads. “He addresses many topics — what it means to be creative, how to find a mentor and serve as an apprentice, the wisdom of maintaining a creative network, coping with critics and the foibles of success, and the specific pitfalls of contemporary culture — all in the service of guiding admirers who have followed his career and newcomers not yet acquainted with his story.”

Additionally, the publisher adds that, “Creative Quest is many things — above all, a wise and wide-ranging conversation around the eternal mystery of creativity.”

Questlove has previously authored three books, with the first, a memoir, Mo’ Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove, arriving in 2013. The same year, Soul Train: The Music, Dance, and Style of a Generation, was released, commemorating the legacy of Soul Train. The award-winning musician’s third book, Something To Food About: Exploring Creativity with Innovative Chefs, was written alongside Ben Greenman and featured photography by Kyoko Hamada.

Questlove will be joining The Roots later this week in Charlottesville, VA, for a special benefit concert raising money for those affected by the violence in the city last month. Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande and more will also perform.
