Last month, Judge Steven O’Neill granted Bill Cosby’s lawyers a retrial in his still-ongoing court case, later approving the request from the actor’s new lawyers to delay the date so that they could be better acquainted with the charges against their client.

Cosby, who is facing three charges of aggravated indecent assault after his accuser Andrea Constand came forward regarding a 2004 encounter, will reportedly be returning to court in April of next year.

As reported, the retrial date has been set for April 2, with the jury selection able to go underway prior to the date.

The 80-year-old’s first trial ended in a hung jury back in June, with the comedian maintaining his innocence and claiming that the sexual encounter was consensual.
