In April of this year, New Orleans rapper BTY YoungG was fatally shot at a gas station and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As reported, the two men who were linked to the case have now been indicted for the slaying of the Cash Money signee born Desmone Jerome. Jerome was 27 at the time of his untimely passing.

Darryl “Dino” Bannister, 31, and Kyron D. Williams, 27, were each charged with second-degree murder on Thursday (Sept. 14), with bond being set at $1M for each defendant. Both suspects are facing a mandatory life sentence if convicted of the charge.

As reported, Bannister has been behind bars since his arrest on May 15, while Williams remained at large as of Friday morning (Sept. 15).

According to Nola.com, Bannister has maintained his innocence, claiming to investigators that his phone, which links him to the crime, was stolen at a party prior to the shooting. Police have reportedly stated that another person’s DNA profile was found on the phone, but have not clarified if the DNA results will implicate Williams or not.
