As exemplified by his raw talent, unwavering work ethic and ever-growing fanbase, Dave East is building his own legacy brick-by-brick.
From releasing his debut Def Jam project, Paranoia: A True Story EP, earlier this summer to garnering co-signs from the likes of Nas, the Harlem rapper has earned yet another feather in his cap: he’s got a collaboration with Drake on the way.
During a recent conversation with XXL, the rapper confirmed the news that he and the 6 God were able to work on new music together, despite their hectic schedules making such a collaboration a bit more difficult.
“We definitely got some new music on the way,” East confirms. While on the subject of Drizzy, he adds that the Toronto heavyweight is “down to earth” and has shown him “nothing but love.”
The 29-year-old traveled to Anaheim, California for the first time this past weekend, performing to a crowd of thousands at the 2017 edition of the Day N Night festival.
REVOLT caught up with Harlem’s finest during the festivities, with the New York emcee reflecting on the impression he’d like to leave on the West Coast, especially as he performs in different cities for the first time.
