Bruno Mars is bringing the funk Uptown to the Apollo.
Set to air November 29 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, the Grammy award-winning superstar performs a sure-to-be electrifying set at the famed Apollo Theater for a one of a kind primetime television special, titled, “Bruno Mars: 24K Magic Live at the Apollo.”
Ben Winston is executive producing the special, alongside Mars. “For me, Bruno Mars is the greatest performer in the world,” he shared in a statement. “To be producing his first television special is a true honor. This will be a special show and a special night.”
The singer was recently spotted performing on top of the Apollo marquee this past weekend and reportedly also shot footage at local businesses in the Harlem neighborhood.
The news arrives as Mars is on the road for his 24K Magic World tour. He is scheduled to perform a set of shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden later this month and at the Barclays Center in October. Most recently, Bruno donated $1 million to aid Flint water crisis victims. “We need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again,” he explained in a statement last month.
