Although she appears as Tiffany on Issa Rae’s narrative-changing HBO series, Insecure, Amanda Seales is anything but uncertain. The self-described revolutionary is as poised and self-assured as they come, even while openly admitting that she’s finding success as it comes.

Following her recent relocation from Harlem, New York to Los Angeles, the 36-year-old commedienne sat down with Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily to discuss the pros and cons of comedy, her promotion on Insecure and how she’s developing her own blueprint for crossover success. After all, Seales has her sights firmly set on becoming a household name well beyond her status as the resident funny girl.
