Following this weekend’s scare, Reginae Carter, daughter to rapper Lil Wayne, took to Twitter and confirmed her father is “doing fine” after being found unconscious in his hotel room in Chicago.

“My dad is doing fine everyone,” Carter tweeted on Monday (September 4), also adding, “Thanks for the concerns. You guys are amazing.” She also added, “Don’t believe everything you hear,” which is a nod to growing rumors that drug use may be to blame.

Over the years, Wayne suffered a series of highly publicized seizures. Four years ago, the rapper suffered multiple seizures and was left hospitalized at a Los Angeles hospital for six days. He has since attributed it to being epileptic, and revealed in an interview that he has been suffering from seizures since he was a kid.

The most recent incident, as reported by TMZ, occurred in Chicago on Sunday (September 3) after Wayne was found unconscious in his hotel room when he suffered from at least one seizure. The rapper was rushed to Northwestern Memorial in Chicago, where it is being said that he suffered another one.

Reginae Carter’s update is the first on the incident, as fans await a formal statement from Wayne’s management.
