While the infamous phrase “don’t meet your idols” may occasionally ring true, it is suffice to say that Cardi B has zero regrets from her time at the 2017 Made in America Festival this weekend.

Prior to performing earlier Saturday evening (Sept. 2), the “Bodak Yellow” the Bronx rapper was able to cross something absolutely epic off her bucketlist: meeting JAY-Z and Beyoncé for the first time.

The former reality TV star, who is well-known for her larger-than-life personality, naturally was seemingly ecstatic and humbled to meet the Carters for the first time, reacting exactly how fans would hope she would with a massive smile. Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles Lawson, also stopped by to show love to Cardi, further adding to the 24-year-old emcee’s utter excitement.

Not only that, but the legendary power couple also stuck around to support their newest friend, with both Hov and Bey happily watching from backstage and vibing out during Cardi’s energetic performance on the festival’s Rocky & Liberty stage. Additionally, during her set, the entertainer and emcee confirmed that her highly anticipated debut album will see an official release next month, sometime in October.

Following her performance, Cardi, who was donning an ensemble made up of silver chains, reflected on the evening’s festivities, expressing to REVOLT that although she was freezing, she was too happy to care.

“I’m colder than a motherf—er but I’m soooo happy,” the rapper shared, grinning. “I’m cold though. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get the flu but I don’t get a f–k!”
