Playboi Carti, “New Choppa” ft. A$AP Rocky
After collaborating on six songs from the just-released Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2, the duo reunites for a new clip where they drink and smoke while watching television until they find themselves inside a just-aired gun commercial, shooting off rifles at the range at everything from pineapples and pies to stuffed animals and aerosol cans.
Jorja Smith, “On My Mind”
Since raising her profile (and receiving a major streaming boost) upon appearing on Drake’s More Life album, Smith has collaborated with Kali Uchis, joined the 2017 Camp Flog Gnaw line-up, and been recruited to debut new music on HBO’s Insecure. Now, she shares the visual for her new track with grime producer Preditah, which finds her home in the UK, dancing, performing, and hanging with friends in the garage, elevator, and finally an apartment of a tower building. She told The FADER, “Even though it wasn’t shot in Walsall, the video gave me a very nostalgic feel of being at home. It reminds me of times spent chilling in my friends’ flat. We all had such a fun day shooting; the video reflects the mood of the song. Very alive.”
Halsey, “Bad At Love”
After becoming the first woman of 2017 to top the Billboard 200 albums chart and getting co-signs from Kelly Rowland, Quavo, and Charli XCX, Halsey has dropped the music video for hopeless fountain kingdom cut “Bad At Love.” On the run from law enforcement, Halsey browses a desert gas station’s convenient store where three suspicious women-turned-accomplices wait. They distract police for the singer before all taking off in a convertible and finding an escape in a makeshift tent.
