Action Bronson has a lot to celebrate as of late.

As his loyal fan base can attest, the former chef-turned-rapper-turned-television-host has kept extremely busy during the two-year hiatus he took between releasing studio albums.

After establishing himself as one of pop culture’s most beloved entertainers, through starring in his two television shows—his travel food show, F**k, That’s Delicious and the ever-hilarious Traveling the Stars: Action Bronson and Friends Watch Ancient Aliens (which is exactly what the title suggests)—the multitalented Queens native is returning to his roots as an emcee, today (August 25) delivering his fourth studio album, Blue Chips 7000.

Earlier this year, Action shared with fans on Twitter the frustration he was experiencing due to running into sample clearance issues, which ultimately resulted in the project being pushed back.

During a recent sit-down with Complex, Action went into detail regarding the issues he had faced, stating, “Out of 100 percent, 93 percent [of the samples on the album] got cleared, so I can’t really be too upset.”

However, he does stress that the samples that he did lose were “heartbreaking,” further showcasing how passionate he is about the quality and execution of his art. As fans can recall, at one point, he even threatened to leak the album himself but thankfully, he didn’t have to resort to that scenario and was able to get the necessary clearance to release his highly anticipated follow-up to 2015’s Mr. Wonderful.

The project, which features guest appearances from Rick Ross, Big Body Bes, Meyhem Lauren and Jah Tiger, is comprised of 13 tracks, with production being handled by his long-time collaborator, Party Supplies, as well as Alchemist & Harry Fraud.
