Merely two days after Dave Chappelle featured the illustrious Solange as a special guest during his star-studded Radio City Music Hall residency in New York City, the beloved singer has returned to the spotlight to make an exciting show announcement of her own.

The 31-year-old took to Instagram last evening (August 23) to officially announce that she will be embarking on a string of live performances, titled Orion’s Rise, featuring what she referred as “the line up of [her] actual dreams.”

Considering Earl Sweatshirt, Flying Lotus, French composer Chassol and the Sun Ra Arkestra have all been confirmed as special guests so far, it’s safe to say that she is pulling out all the creative stops for this small tour run, with each show featuring different combinations of the aforementioned supporting acts.

As announced thus far, Solange will be kicking off the festivities in Washington D.C. at the John F. Kennedy Center on October 1 (with Sun Ra Arkestra) and will then be returning to New York’s Radio City Music Hall the following night (with Earl Sweatshirt, Chassol and Sun Ra Arkestra). On October 20th, she will conclude Orion’s Rise with a performance in Berkeley, Calif. at the Greek Theatre (with Earl, Flying Lotus and Chassol).

The Houston native is gearing up to have a busy and impactful fall, with these new shows following announcements that she is set to speak at the Chicago Museum of Contempory Art on September 13, in conjunction with Pitchfork’s “In Sight Out” series. Additionally, she will debut her site-specific performance art piece “Scales” on October 8 at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas. Tickets for Orion’s Rise will be available for sale tomorrow, August 25, via http://solangemusic.com.
