Rick Ross knows better than anybody that if you’re an artist trying to break into the music industry, never stop believing in yourself no matter how long it takes.

Rozay is one-third of the judging dream team on the new VH1 series Signed, along with The-Dream and veteran music executive Lenny “S.” Santiago. The collective has been tasked with finding and cultivating new talent but, of course, not everybody makes the cut. Ross, however, advises to not give up even if you don’t get signed on Signed.

“Great judges, The-Dream, Lenny S. Great talent. Even the talent that’s been eliminated. I seen some things in them, you never know,” Rozay said while speaking to REVOLT with The-Dream in his uber-luxurious estate in Atlanta. “But like I say, we looking for something that’s amazing. Something I never seen. People that can change the game. Something we gon’ put our own dollar on. VH1 [is] taking you behind the scenes. REVOLT giving you that backstage pass.”

Ross is simultaneously working on his new LP (Port of Miami 2)—as is The-Dream—while shooting the show.

Dream said, “Signed is out right now of course, but I got a lot of shit out right now. ‘Summer Body’ featuring Fabolous. Of course, after that, I got the record with Ross called ‘Reservations.’ I also have a record called ‘Love You Better’ with Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Wayne. That’s out right now. I have a record with Fat Joe and Remy, ‘Heartbreak,’ that’s out right now. Love Affair, my album’s coming out in two months. This show [Signed] is doing unfoundedly well.”

Signed airs on VH1 through the remainder of August.
