The champ was here!

On Sunday (August 6) in New York City, real hip-hop returned to the Bronx when Jadakiss headlined a free concert at Crotona Park. The rap star brought out thousands of peoples, all of whom stood in attendance, rapping their favorite bars from Mr. Raspy.

During his performance, the Kiss of Death MC let off a classic arsenal of joints including “Put Ya Hands Up,” “Why,” “Knock Yourself Out,” “Jason,” and the remix to Nas’ “Made You Look.”

Kiss didn’t come alone, though. Lil’ Cease, Black Rob, and Tek of Smif-N-Wessun rocked the crowd, too.

The SummerStage concert series, brought to New York by the City Parks Foundation, has been providing free concerts across the five boroughs all summer, with Manhattan being the next stop.

Here’s how the Rock Steady Crew’s celebration, complete with a Havoc-headlining Mobb Deep tribute, went down, too.
