Already in jail pending trial on a murder charge, Suge Knight has now also been indicted on felony criminal threats by an L.A. County Grand Jury.

Reports say the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records was very unhappy with his portrayal in the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton and sent death threats through text message to director Felix Gary Gary.

He reportedly made these threats on or around August 8, 2014 while the movie was being filmed.

Knight pleaded not guilty to the grand jury today (Aug. 3), according to Los Angeles Times. His family was reportedly seated in the front row, including his son, who wore a t-shirt that said “FREE SUGE.”

Knight was arrested back in January 2015 and charged with murder after he was involved in a fatal hit and run while on the set of Straight Outta Compton.

Matthew Fletcher, the lawyer representing Suge in both cases, also had comments today.

“The district attorney is not comfortable with you folks and everyone else seeing what they are actually being charged with,” Fletcher told media outlets, in video captured by Instagram user @maywest310. “…The district attorney is trying to combine this case with the homicide case. Judge Cohen has been very clear that the homicide (is scheduled to go forward) in January.”
