Rob Markman has spent years covering other rappers as an editor and writer for the likes of MTV, XXL, and Genius, where he currently works as Head of Artist Relations. Now, the journalist ventures into the rap world with his debut EP Write to Dream.

Rapping under his born name, Markman’s new project is eight songs and 27 minutes long. Aside from Kirby Maurier’s chorus on the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced single “I Don’t Wanna Wait,” the EP is guest-free: this is all Rob Markman’s voice. Stream the album below on Spotify, Apple Music or Spotify, or buy on iTunes. Markman has also released merchandise at WriteToDream.com: : pens and notepads, to inspire others to write down their own dreams as well.

Rob Markman partnered with REVOLT TV for two videos, including a mini-documentary about his upbringing and his decision to create a rap album. Watch those videos below.
