Kendrick Lamar brings out J. Cole as surprise guest on 'DAMN.' tour in Detroit

Nothing short of praise has been showered onto Kendrick Lamar since he kicked off his ‘DAMN’ tour, having already blown away concert attendees in cities from Houston to Brooklyn.

Last night at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan, Kung Fu Kenny offered another moment of splendor. Pausing his performance for a moment to gloat, Lamar told the crowd that his trek is “the livest motherfucking experience of your entire life.” After instructing them to put one finger in the air, the sounds of J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyes Only cut, “Deja Vu” rang loud throughout the arena. And to the delight of the TDE star’s packed house, the Fayettenam general ascended to the center of the stage.

After running through “Deja Vu,” Cole’s brief set also saw him perform “A Tale of 2 Cities” and “No Role Models” from his album 2014 Forest Hills Drive.” Currently on his own tour in support of Eyez, Cole’s brief appearance precedes his Friday night (July 28) show in Ontario.
