Back in April, The Weeknd announced that his first signature shoe would “arrive soon.” Information surrounding the sneaker, a collaboration under his partnership with athletic brand Puma, had been scarce, until now.

Unveiled as the “Parallels,” the sneaker is set to hit retailers August 24.

The multi-platinum singer made the official announcement yesterday (July 24) with a tweet that read: “To my fans : The “Parallels” are finally dropping August 24th. PUMAXO… Let’s GO.”

Rumors regarding the design of the sneaker started to pop up in May, after supposed images of the sneaker hit the Internet. As of yet, pricing for the “Parallels” hasn’t been made public.

With partnerships in place with stars like Rihanna, Big Sean, Meek Mill and now Jay-Z, the release of the “Parallels” extends Puma’s growing list of high profile collaborations. The Puma x Jay-Z cat was first let out of the bag in early July, when promo images featuring the Puma logo for the Roc Nation founder’s forthcoming 4:44 Tour were released. “We can confirm that PUMA is working with Jay-Z on his upcoming tour and other collaborative projects,” said a Puma representative in an interview with Billboard.
