Before news surfaced that JAY-Z’s 4:44 had maintained its No. 1 spot on the Billboard albums chart for the second week in a row, his fellow Forbes-recognized mogul Diddy gave it high praises, as well.

Speaking on Apple Music’s OVO SOUND Radio on Saturday (July 22), Diddy applauded the album’s inspirational message, saying:

“This JAY-Z album is JAY-Z’s best album. As an artist, you have a responsibility to grow. JAY-Z has inspired me, I inspire people, we all inspire each other. This album is not just an album. ‘4:44’ is necessary. It’s not just an album. It’s a change of thinking. It’s a change in the way we think. We gotta support our own brand. We gotta support each other….It ain’t no old, it ain’t no new. Everybody’s fly. Y’all ni–as wearing a dress is fly. Ni–as over there wearing jewelry and Dapper Dan, trying to make that shit come back, you guys are fly. Everybody’s fly in their own way. This ni–a JAY-Z is great and that ‘4:44’ album is great. If you don’t listen to it, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Take that, take that, take that. JAY-Z’s ‘4:44’ album [is] to me, his best album and the album of the year.”
