Singer Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, the famous voice behind songs like “In the End” and “What I’ve Done” to name a few, has died. He was 41.

According to TMZ, Bennington reportedly hung himself at a Palos Verdes Estates residence in Los Angeles. His body was discovered Thursday (July 20) just before 9 a.m.

Bennington was married and is survived by his six children.

Earlier this year, Linkin Park scored its sixth No. 1 album with One More Light, giving the group their tenth album in the top ten. The release was the group’s first album in three years.

Since the unfortunate announcement, fans and musicians alike have poured out their condolences on social media.
