Much like he did for “The Story of O.J.,” JAY-Z has released the “Footnotes” for 4:44’s title track, the revealing song on which he admits to, and apologizes for, his infidelities.

In the 11-minute documentary-style clip, JAY rounds up a handful of famous men as they candidly weigh in on love, marriage, and relationships.

The men reveal how their upbringings affected their emotions, why love is their hardest life experience, battling selfishness, fear of loneliness, dating and courting, attraction, honesty and omission, break-ups, hiding things from their children, and more.

It’s an intimate look at something rarely shared.

In fact, JAY can be seen detailing the moment he shared the track with Beyonce: “I just played it. We been in that space where we just got to a place where we’re, like, yeah, in order for this to work, we gotta really just, this can’t be fake. Not one ounce. I’m not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable ’cause obviously it was, but because we been doing it for so long, it was less uncomfortable.”

He can also be seen recounting a day in which he had trouble saying bye to her: “Was on a boat and I had the best time and I was like, ‘Man, this is great’ and then she had to leave and I was, like, crushed. And I was like, ‘Man, I don’t even feel like this.’ Like, what is happening to my body right now? And I was just like, ‘Don’t go.’ And I was like, did I just say [that]? You know, all this is new for me.”
