It’s the summer and, as Meek raps on his latest banger “Bag Talk,” the sound of the 30 sound inspiring. And by “30,” we mean the BPM behind the sounds of his latest EP, Meekend Music II.

Featuring guest appearances by YFN Lucci and Earz, while production is handled by the likes of Mike WiLL Made It, Dougie, and StreetRunner to name a few, the Philly rapper surprised fans with the free four-track drop last night (July 4) via SoundCloud.

The free EP opens up with the therapeutic “Save Me,” which finds a vulnerable Meek experiencing a moment of clarity as he ponders on a silver lining on this bittersweet journey of fame. “That money mix up with the greed, it happens all the time,” he mulls. Elsewhere, “Organized Chaos” has the potential to be a ubiquitous streetsweeper as Mike WiLL’s ominous production allows the Philly rapper and rising rapper Earz to wild out with a devil-may-care furor. “Freddie Kruger with the Ruger/ They’ll kill you when you’re talking peace, learned that shit from Martin Luther,” Meek raps.

Meek’s latest project comes as he preps a brand new album, titled Wins & Losses. In an interview with Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3 last month, the “Glow Up” rapper revealed that he had finished the full-length LP, however no release date has been set.
