Yesterday in Beverly Hills, the ladies of Bad Boy–Lil Kim, Faith Evans, Total and Laurieann Gibson–came together for Ciroc’s ‘Empowered Women’ brunch that honored the female superstars.

After the brunch, Lil Kim and Faith sat together to reflect on their relationship, life on Bad Boy, and the loss of Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Obviously, Kim and Mobb collaborated on one of the greatest hip-hop songs ever, the remix to “Quiet Storm.” The Queen Bee said P’s death was not only a shock, but it was extra painful because they had quarreled and hadn’t resolve it.

“I’m real funny when it comes to stuff like that on Instagram,” Kim began to tell. “Sometimes I [post about people’s death], but it’s hard when it’s somebody close to you. When we was coming up and had our record, we did everything together. And when [Prodigy’s death] happened, me and his relationship wasn’t in the best place because we were almost like family, too. We argue and they pass, it’s the worst thing. That’s like the worst thing.”

Despite not seeing eye to eye, Kim says she still would perform the classic with Mobb from time to time.

“We still came together.,” she said with tears beginning to form. “The last thing we did…Havoc is my baby. He always tried to keep the peace between [me and Prodigy]. We were not, like, speaking, but we were on stage and we always felt the energy with each other. But it’s the worst thing. I love him to death. I wish I was able to see him and speak to him. But I know his spirit is always here.”
