Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case has ended in a mistrial.

A judge in the Bill Cosby trial declared a mistrial today (June 17) after the jury could not come to a decision to reach a verdict in the case, that accused him of drugging and molesting a woman at his home outside Philadelphia in early 2004. Cosby faced three charges of aggravated indecent assault.

The jurors, which consisted of five women and seven men, were unable to come to a unanimous decision regarding the alleged victim Andrea Constand, who at the time was manager of Temple University’s women’s basketball team.

Judge Steven O’Neill said on Saturday that a note from the jury “indicates that we the jury are deadlocked on all counts.” Amid the announcement, prosecutors announced that they will retry the case. The attorney for many of Cosby’s accusers, Gloria Allred, said she hopes the court will allow other “prior bad act witnesses” to testify at the next trial.
